Tautphaus Park Zoo!

On June 12, 2014, Richard had the day off because they ran out of work for him for that week, so we went to the zoo in Idaho Falls!

See the crocodile?!?
A baby lemur clinging to momma....so cute:)
Otters! Usually when we go they just sit or sleep and never move, but this time they were very active! We loved watching them dive and swim--so cool:)
Giant Turtles! SO BIG! very neat!

R-O-A-R!!
She wanted nothing to do with this tiger!  Bet you couldn't have guessed that ;)

The classic lion fountain!

I didn't mention to her that daddy and gpa like to shoot these;)

After the zoo, we went across the street to the rides and let Kinzie pick a ride! (we were going to let caydo ride too, but he was already asleep when we got there. He was exhausted and fell asleep as soon as he got in his car seat!) She chose a bench on the Merry-Go-Round! She seemed to enjoy it:)
Since it was also Father's Day weekend, I took Richard to Stockman's for lunch after the zoo! Kinzie ate a roll then lied down on the bench and fell asleep!! Cayden was still asleep...it was the most peaceful lunch we've had in a long time:)
It was such a beautiful day with lots of fun animals and memories! A few animals that I always love to see but weren't there this time were the peacock and the penguins. bummer. maybe next time. There was a baby zebra tho--that was cute:) And the monkeys are always entertaining to watch!
I love watching my kids' reactions to the animals! so much excitement!!!
Very fun day, but we were all exhausted when we got home!

Camping in June!

We went camping the first week in June in Arbon because Richard would be home for school (instead of working out of town) and could come up at nights for dinner! We had a good ol' time, although it got freezing cold at nights, brrr!
Kinzie and Cayden were in Dirt Heaven! I was so surprised with Kinzie--normally she hates to be dirty, anything from getting frosting on her finger to spilling on her clothes. So I was shocked to see her sitting in dirt, covering herself in it, and enjoying it! At one point she even dumped a bunch of dirt down her shirt and then thought it was so funny to see dirt come out of her shirt and to lift it up and she her tummy all dirty.

Gotta love Arbon--some of the most beautiful country ever! Love camping here:)
She loved playing in Grandpa's wheat field! She kept going on "adventures" all around the campground...many of them included hiking up through the wheat field:)

This was his favorite thing to do! At one point I took him away from the dirt to change his diaper--he was so mad and cried/whined the whole time I changed him until I set him back in the dirt!

Grandpa's doggies got to come camping with us most of the time--Kinzie loves them so much! This one is Mo:)

This was hilarious! I saw him grab her juice and thought he was going to drink it...

...instead, he fed it to big sis:) We were all laughing so hard!

I have never seen these two so dirty:)

He did this to himself. And yes, there was dirt in it. Ever had a dirt shower?!?!?!!?

Dirty, but Cute!

Can you say DiRtY?!?!

trying to catch bugs with her bug net!

I didn't get a picture of the whole gang, but here's a few others who were there! Kinzie loves her aunts and uncles!

Family Pics!

We were in dire need of updating our family pictures--the large one we have on our wall was last taken when Kinzie was almost 1 year old and Cayden wasn't even born yet...it's very outdated!
These were taken the first week in June by a family friend, Sarah McOmber! She claims she's not a "professional" and just takes pictures "for the fun of it", but I think they turned out great!! Especially dealing with a family who's not very photogenic and kiddos who are not very cooperative when it comes to picture taking:)
And the good news is...now we have an updated family photo to hang on our wall! There really are 4 of us:)

If you can't tell, she's playing with a stick.

And here are just a few fun outtakes!
"ugh, really cayden?!?!"
He loves his sister!
And she loves him too!
The idea was for Cayden to lay next to Kinzie, but that didn't happen. Instead he started climbing all over us! We got some pretty fun ones of it!
The hardest part had to be trying to get the kids to both keep their hands down, looking at the camera, and smiling all at the same time;) What a struggle! hehe
