Storytime!

Kinzie loves books and songs and other kids...so of course she loves Storytime at the Library! We go twice a week...one day is Music and Movement for 0-5 year olds and the other day is Baby Storytime for 0-2 yr olds. Her favorite is the storytime...cuz during the music one there's a lot of older kids that are dramatically getting into the songs and dances and Kinzie just kinda sits there and stares at them like they're crazy!! But during Storytime, they read stories and sing songs and do hand plays that are right at her level and she's more familiar with them because they are the same ones (mostly) we sing at home.
After Storytime, she loves to pull the books off the shelf and look at them. Her favorite thing, though, is to play with this little race car track thingy they have. Seeing how she's a girl, we never even thought about buying anything like this...but she loved it so much that Richard bought her some Hot Wheels and a small race track a few weeks ago.

It's so fun to watch her walk all the way around the race track and to watch her eyes get big as a car zooms down the track!

This is the 'teacher'. They call her Miss Amanda!! Such a nice lady and so fun with the kids!

For the last 15 mins of Storytime, Miss Amanda dumps out a big tub of toys and they get to just play and interact with each other. They do this because kids need to learn to socialize and how to share and interact with others--and this is a good age for them to begin learning:)

This is one of those flannel boards she uses for the song "5 little ducks went out to play..."! Kinzie had fun putting the ducks on!
We are very grateful for this opportunity! It gives us something to look forward to each week, and it's fun for her to hear stories and songs from someone other than just mom and dad...as well as meet new friends!

A day at the Park!

There's a new park in town--Brooklyn's Playground! We had heard it was cool, but we thought we'd better check it out for ourselves...and it was Amazing!! This park has so much more than just the normal (swings, slide, bridge, etc). It has noise makers, handicap swings, padded ground, fenced in, spinny things,castle-like features...lots of fun stuff!!

Kinzie loves slides. However, it was super hot outside, as was the slide, so we took her down on our laps. She still liked that, and once we'd get to the bottom, she'd point to the top indicating that she wanted to go again!

Yay for Summer!

Branding 2012

We headed out to Arbon to my parent's farm on April 21st to help brand cows. Kinzie loves cows (until they get too close and beller too loud) and loves to say 'moooo'--it's sooo cute! I was excited to watch Kinzie interact with the baby cows while they were separated from their moms, but she was napping during the time the calves were available to play. bummer. Nonetheless, we still got some fun pics when she was awake!

Poor Baby Cow:(

Mommy cows on the other side of the gate calling for their babies...they don't like to be separated. I don't blame them--I too would be sad if someone took my baby away to burn her:)

My brother Challis! he got the fun job of pushing the calves through the chute!

My brother Tyce! Looks excited...doesn't he?!?!?!!?!?

My brother Skylar gave the calves a growth implant in their ear...it's kinda like a shot...I think. Not sure if it's painful.

Ahhh, look how concerned they are for their buddy. Either that or they're about to gang up on him! HA HA

This was my brother-n-law's job, but he had to leave early, so Tyce took over!

Sometimes the calves are too big or too wiggly so someone has to stand on top to help hold them down!

yay she woke up! She thought she was pretty cool hanging on to and looking through the gate! funny girl:)

I absolutely LOVE this girl! And isn't this such a cute pic!?!?!?!? She's just lovin' life!

Afterward, we all enjoyed a delicious meal of beef stroganoff, rolls, salads, and ice cream bars!

The Rodeo!

A few weeks ago Kinzie and I went with my family to the Wranglers Million Dollar Rodeo in Pocatello! I really didn't think she would sit there on my lap for 2 hours straight, so I was kinda dreading it....but she LOVED it and did really well! I think it helped that she had so many fun people there...once she got bored of me then she'd go play with my mom, then my dad, then Uncle Challis...you get the idea! Not to mention she absolutely loves animals and noise/action (she is very curious!), so she was very entertained and attentive! She even met a cute little (i think 3 or 4 yrs old) boy wearing a cowboy hat and boots...they were so cute together...he even shared his hat with her:)
Wearing her jeans and cowgirl boots!!!

Enjoying the rodeo with Grandpa!

Don't worry...she's not a druggie. HA. she found this in Grandma's purse and thought it was a fun toy--she could shake it and it made noise!!

Our favorite part was during the Bull Riding. This one bull was spinning in circles, bucked the cowboy off, and kept spinning and spinning and spinning...even the clown dudes couldn't get his attention. Finally, the bull got so DIZZY that he just FELL OVER!!! It was hilarious!!!  Ahhh, good times:)
