Kinzie's 1 year old pics

These pictures were taken on Feb. 9, 2012 by a lady in my ward--Kelly Spence Photography! I can't believe she's ONE already...where did the year go?!?!?! Enjoy these pics of my sweet and adorable 1 year old!!

Look at me...I'm ONE YEAR OLD!!

This is one of her favorite stuffed animals--she loves this fluffy puppy! She loves cuddling with it and giving it hugs!

Kinzie is very dainty and doesn't like to have things on her hands. Like when opening presents, she would freak out if she got tape/paper stuck to her fingers. So we didn't think she'd enjoy her cake smash too much and dig into it like most kids do.

Sure enough....she dived right in, but as soon as she got that frosting on her hand, she looked at it like it was a disease, then started crying and shaking her hand trying to get it off. I even put a bite in her mouth thinking she might like the taste and realize it's okay (cuz we know she LOVES cake), but even that didn't convince her. At one point, she was shaking her hand and some of the cake fell onto her leg...that really made her mad. It was actually quite funny to watch. And needless to say, when we got home and later put a piece on her tray...she ate it like a champ! Silly girl:)

At her 1 yr. appnt, she weighed 15.8 lbs, 28 3/4 inches long, and head was 17 inches. Because she wasn't gaining much weight, we had to get some blood work done and found that her iron was a bit low, so now she's on iron drops. She loves to scoot on her bum everywhere and anywhere she needs to go. She loves clapping her hands, folding her arms, doing "big stretches" (aka putting arms in the air), patty cake, and signing 'more' and 'all done'! She adores kitties, puppies, and Minnie Mouse!!!! She likes watching Uncle Challis play in his basketball games and mommy in her volleyball games. She finds it so amusing to play with mom's make-up, Avon orders, and credit cards. And of course, she has to pull everything off the shelves and push every button she can reach/touch. Her favorite show is Mickey Mouse Clubshouse! She loves visiting grandma/grandpa's farm. She has a major sweet tooth--cake, ice cream, brownies, popsicles, waffles drenched in syrup...you name it, she'll eat it!!

It's been so fun over this last year to watch her grow, learn, change, and discover new things! She always brightens my day!! We can't imagine life without her--seriously, it would be so boring! So grateful to have this sweet bundle of joy in our home and family!

family pics 2011

These pictures were taken in early November by my sis-n-law Whitney Curzon. It ended up being a very very cold windy day, so it was miserable being out there...especially for Kinzie. Also we had to wake her up from her nap to go, so she was freezing, tired, cranky, and didn't cooperate too well.

Christmas 2011 (part 3--presents)

Once Kinzie woke up from her nap and after church, we finished opening our presents from under the tree!

Sooo curious of what's in there!
She got this toy from Grandma Sheri and she LOVES it! It lights up, plays songs, and recites ABC,123, and colors!

She got this book from Great-Grandma Curzon! She loves books!!

Opening another present (yes, she got a bit spoiled)! I love the winnie the pooh paper:)

Here's just a quick shot of some of my presents! I got a hair cutting kit (and cut Richard's hair a couple weeks ago for the first time...that was scary, but it turned out well). Seeing how his hair grows so quickly, we figured that will save us money!

Happy Kinzie:) In the back you can see a pink pig--she got that from her great-grandma Stewart and it makes noise and squeaks and rattles..she loves it!

Kinzie enjoying her Christmas present! (which also lights up and makes noise)!

Chillin' with Daddy!

Cuddling with Daddy:)

Pretty much we all got spoiled this Christmas! It was a great Chrismtas and we were sad to see it end. Kinzie was super disappointed when we took our tree down...she still lights up when she sees pictures of Santa, snowmen, Christmas lights, or trees. It was so fun to watch her experience and enjoy her First Christmas!!

Christmas 2011 (part 2--Santa Presents)

We came downstairs Christmas morning...and WA-LA...SANTA had come and filled our stockings on the couch and left a pile of presents!! (I'm continuing my mom's tradition--she always had our Santa Presents wrapped and set out in a nicely arranged display!)

Kinzie opening her...
...little stroller!! It is so much easier to pack around than her big, heavy duty stroller, and it fits better in my trunk!

Next present for Kinzie...

her WALKER!! yep, she loves to be on the go and is trying to walk all over the place, so we thought this would help her and give us a break from walking her around the house all day long!

After opening her stocking and Santa presents, she was EXHAUSTED and ready for a nap! Just a little bit cranky..ha ha! So to bed she went!

For my Santa presents, I got a waffle iron (the one I've had since college broke a few months ago, so it was at the top of my list) and was very surprised by a Magic Bullet!! I absolutely love it!! Richard's Santa presents included a new cell phone and a head lamp/light to use at work!

Thank you Santa for all the wonderful presents!!
