She got her FIRST PIECE of parade CANDY!!
These are our friends who went to the parade with us! They have 3 adorable boys and it was fun watching them cheer for and chase the candy!!

Relay for Life 2011

In June, we attended the Relay for Life in Blackfoot, where I was on a team for my school (go teachers!) and Richard was on a team for his Union (go electricians!). We walked lots and lots of laps...mainly because Kinzie was asleep in her stroller and every time we stopped walking she'd wake up, so we just kept walking so she could sleep, and also we just really enjoyed the excercise:)

In July, we attended the Relay in Pocatello. We weren't on a specific team, but we went to support anyway (plus my great-aunt was walking as a Survivor!) Kinzie was wide awake for this one (until the very end) and enjoyed it!! The theme this year was "Celebrate, Remember, Fight Back", meaning to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those who didn't, and fight back for those who are currently struggling with it.

We forgot to take our camera to Blackfoot, so all these photos were taken at the Pocatello Relay!

Here come the survivors during the SURVIVOR WALK!! There were so many of them...some were crying, some were smiling, and some just seemed exhausted. After what they've been through, I'm sure these emotions are no surprise to them. It was very touching as they walked and everyone cheered them on!!!

If you look at the words, not the lights, it reads HOPE! That's really what this night is all about...hope for cures!!

Every team had a booth and the following pics are just a few of them (pocatello relay had some sort of a disney theme)

Isn't this girl just adorable:) This was a picture before she started going through the treatments.

A lady from our ward was working at this booth. The girl above is her 3 year old niece who currently has cancer. Such a cutie!!

It says "we relay for the success of our little princess"!

A jumpy toy for kids:)

The following are just some fun candid shots of us while we there!! (Kinzie loves pulling all sorts of faces...ENJOY!)
