What a Weekend!

This last weekend was busy and fun!! Friday night, we went to American Falls to the Power County Fair to watch my brother sell his 4-H fair!
He looks so happy to now be over $2000 richer!!

On Saturday, we spent the day in Idaho Falls. We ate lunch at one of our favorites--OLIVE GARDEN!!
Richard decided to eat a whole pepper (called a pepperoncini) that comes in the salad. He's so brave!

Below is his face while eating it!! He pulled some great faces, but this was the best one I caught!!

Richard ordered the Lasagna Rollata al Forno!

And I ordered the delicious Ravioli di Portobello!

After lunch, we went to the Idaho Falls Temple and visited the Visitors Center and went through a session! I love how beautiful the temple grounds are in the summer--so many different varieties and colors of flowers:)

That evening, we attended a minor league baseball game of the Idaho Falls Chukars vs. the Ogden Raptors at Melaleuca Field. This was all thanks to the Union that Richard works for. They provided a free tailgate dinner before the game, gave us free admission tickets, and gave us $20 worth of Chuckar Bucks to use at the concession stand. We love FREE!!

Then came Sunday. Richard recently received a calling in our new ward as Elders Quorum Instructor, and this was his first Sunday to teach!! And that evening...finally some time to relax!!

ROSES!!!

Last Friday, Richard came home from work with these roses for me. They are called Pink Intuition, and are striped with dark and light pink! I absolutely love them!!! So beautiful!! I was so surprised, especially since he still got home from work at the usual time!! Apparently his boss let them all go home 15 miutes early that day, and he took advantage of it!!! He's always saying that it's hard for him to surprise me because I'm so curious and nosy (it's true), but he sure made it happen this time!!! Thanks Honey!! I love you!!
He said when he was walking around the store carrying the roses, all the women and some men that he passed all looked at him and smiled! HA I told him they were jealous, or just thought it was so sweet!! And when he got home, my mom was here, and the first thing she said was "uh-oh, what did you do?" He just smiled and said, "nothing, I just wanted to surprise her and let her know how much I love her"!

Close up shots!!
I love the stripes!! Gives it character:)

Thanks Honey for making my day!!

On Sunday, we went to my brother's homecoming talk! When we got home, we took some fun shots of me with my roses!!
Outside in our backyard!

On the stairs!

In our living room!

Our front door!
(my surprised look!)

My face says it all: so EXCITED!!

Grandparent's 50th Anniversary!!!

In June 2010, we celebrated my Grandpa and Grandma Stewart's 50th Anniversary!!! All of their 5 children were able to come and celebrate this happy time with them! We had a barbeque, took family pictures taken by Whitney Curzon, ate a fancy dinner at Red Lobster, and had a picnic luncheon. Also, my Aunt Vickie put together a Memory Book for them with pictures, memories, and letters that their kids, grandkids, siblings, nieces, and nephews wrote!!! It was a weekend full of fun!!!

50 years later and they are still in love!!!

Grandpa and Grandma with their dog, Buffy!!

Happy 50th Grandpa and Grandma!!

Grandma and Grandpa with their children and grandchildren!

I absolutely LOVE this one! They were the center of attention, just as they should be!!
We love and appreciate you Grandma and Grandpa for all you do for all of us!!!
We're so happy for you and wish you many more years together!!

After the group photos, Whitney took individual family pictures! At this time, Richard and I had been married for about 1 year, 7 months! It felt like taking Engagement photos all over again:)
As you can hopefully tell from the pics, I still love him so much and am so grateful to have him as my best friend and eternal partner!! I couldn't ask for a better husband and father-to-be!!

Stewart Reunion 2010 in Jackson Hole

On July 23-25, we had a Family Reunion on my dad's side, which included his siblings, cousins, and aunts/uncles. This year it was held in Jackson Hole, WY.

We had dinner at a yummy Mexican Restaurant called The Merry Piglets!
Very cute atmosphere!

We went to the Playhouse Theater and watched the play Annie Get Your Gun!!

We went to Jenny Lake in the National Teton Park. We rode a boat shuttle to the other side of the lake. Here's the boat!
Mom and Dad on the boat!
Challis on the boat!

Waiting in line to buy our tickets for the boat!

Jenny Lake: so beautiful!!!

Teton Mountains!

On the other side of the lake, we hiked up to the Hidden Falls, and this is half way up the trail at the bottom of the Hidden Falls.

pretty!

Richard on the bridge!!

ME!

The Hidden Falls. It's an 80 ft. waterfall! The hike was hot, but the temperature up there was so cool and refreshing!!

Not a very good pic of us, but the only one we got in front of the Hidden Falls!

Richard posing!!

Richard and I on the boat ride back!

Then we went to the Snow King Resort, which is a ski hill during the winter. During the summer they have miniature golf and the Alpine Slide. For the Alpine Slide, you ride the ski lift up to the top of the hill, then ride carts down!

Here's Richard getting on the ski lift!

And my brother Challis and cousin Aaron.

The ski lift!

Richard coming down the slide!

He made it safe and sound, and loved it too!!

Here's my brother coming down!
The miniature golf course started on the right of the slide, went over the bridge that goes over the slide, then finishes on the left side of the slide.
Also while in Jackson, we swam at the hotel outdoor pool, went to the Bar J Wranglers, had a big family picnic in the park, ate lots of food, and shopped!!
