These pictures were taken on Feb. 9, 2012 by a lady in my ward--Kelly Spence Photography! I can't believe she's ONE already...where did the year go?!?!?! Enjoy these pics of my sweet and adorable 1 year old!!
Look at me...I'm ONE YEAR OLD!!
This is one of her favorite stuffed animals--she loves this fluffy puppy! She loves cuddling with it and giving it hugs!
Kinzie is very dainty and doesn't like to have things on her hands. Like when opening presents, she would freak out if she got tape/paper stuck to her fingers. So we didn't think she'd enjoy her cake smash too much and dig into it like most kids do.
Sure enough....she dived right in, but as soon as she got that frosting on her hand, she looked at it like it was a disease, then started crying and shaking her hand trying to get it off. I even put a bite in her mouth thinking she might like the taste and realize it's okay (cuz we know she LOVES cake), but even that didn't convince her. At one point, she was shaking her hand and some of the cake fell onto her leg...that really made her mad. It was actually quite funny to watch. And needless to say, when we got home and later put a piece on her tray...she ate it like a champ! Silly girl:)
At her 1 yr. appnt, she weighed 15.8 lbs, 28 3/4 inches long, and head was 17 inches. Because she wasn't gaining much weight, we had to get some blood work done and found that her iron was a bit low, so now she's on iron drops. She loves to scoot on her bum everywhere and anywhere she needs to go. She loves clapping her hands, folding her arms, doing "big stretches" (aka putting arms in the air), patty cake, and signing 'more' and 'all done'! She adores kitties, puppies, and Minnie Mouse!!!! She likes watching Uncle Challis play in his basketball games and mommy in her volleyball games. She finds it so amusing to play with mom's make-up, Avon orders, and credit cards. And of course, she has to pull everything off the shelves and push every button she can reach/touch. Her favorite show is Mickey Mouse Clubshouse! She loves visiting grandma/grandpa's farm. She has a major sweet tooth--cake, ice cream, brownies, popsicles, waffles drenched in syrup...you name it, she'll eat it!!
It's been so fun over this last year to watch her grow, learn, change, and discover new things! She always brightens my day!! We can't imagine life without her--seriously, it would be so boring! So grateful to have this sweet bundle of joy in our home and family!
