Okay, so funny story. Believe it or not, we have almost been married for 2 years. Therefore, our temple recommends are about to expire. So last Sunday we each met with a different counselor of our Bishopric and had our interviews. We were told that the Stake Interviews were on the third Sunday from 3:30-5:00. So we showed up today just before 3:30 and there was already a waiting room full of people. As we were waiting, Richard asked to see my recommend just to see how close our record numbers are to each others. He looked and then said, "They are exactly the same". I told him he was lying...I really thought he was joking, but then he showed me...and sure enough, they were the same. He got out his old recommend and noticed that it was the same, so then we knew it was mine that was written incorrectly. Oh Brother. So when it was finally our turn, I had my interview with the Stake President, told him about it, then we had to call our ward building, luckily Bishop was still there, so we had to drive up to our ward building, wait for Bishop to get done with a baptismal interview, then he issued me a new one with my correct number on it, then we drove back down to the stake center, waited for the Stake President to get done with the interview he was doing, and finally got his signature. WOW! What we thought would be a quick go-get-an-interview-and-go-home ended up being an Afternoon Adventure.
(keep in mind that the prego pants I'm wearing are too baggy in the butt, so although in some of the pics my bottom looks like it's huge and bulging out...it's just the pants).
Richard has been playing lots of softball lately. During the last half of the summer, he was playing church ball with our stake. The following pics are from then.
Then he joined a City League coed team for Fall. The following pics are from one of his last games. Sorry about the blurriness....I was struggling with the camera that night:(
This hit got him an in-field HOME RUN.
Super Fast:)
Nice Catch!!
His team wasn't the best ever, but he had a lot of fun! He was one of their STAR players and I enjoyed watching him! For his City League team, he chose to be #7. When I asked him why, he said, "Because that's your birthday!" So thoughtful!
