Pumpkins!!

These are our nieces Peyton and Saige when they came trick or treating to our place!
Last week for FHE, we carved/painted pumpkins!!
(Richard carved his, I painted mine.)
This is Richard's giant pumpkin...look how much junk he had to clean out of it!!

Richard cleaning out his pumpkin by the handfuls!

Richard's masterpiece...the finished product!!

His masterpiece all lit up and creepy!!
Smelling the pumpkin. Silly Richard!

This was my pumpkin. The yellow and green paint is glow-in-the-dark paint!

I finished way before Richard, so I decided to paint the other side as well!
As you can see, Richard is definitely the more creative and talented one!!

Temple Recommend Mishap

Okay, so funny story. Believe it or not, we have almost been married for 2 years. Therefore, our temple recommends are about to expire. So last Sunday we each met with a different counselor of our Bishopric and had our interviews. We were told that the Stake Interviews were on the third Sunday from 3:30-5:00. So we showed up today just before 3:30 and there was already a waiting room full of people. As we were waiting, Richard asked to see my recommend just to see how close our record numbers are to each others. He looked and then said, "They are exactly the same". I told him he was lying...I really thought he was joking, but then he showed me...and sure enough, they were the same. He got out his old recommend and noticed that it was the same, so then we knew it was mine that was written incorrectly. Oh Brother. So when it was finally our turn, I had my interview with the Stake President, told him about it, then we had to call our ward building, luckily Bishop was still there, so we had to drive up to our ward building, wait for Bishop to get done with a baptismal interview, then he issued me a new one with my correct number on it, then we drove back down to the stake center, waited for the Stake President to get done with the interview he was doing, and finally got his signature. WOW! What we thought would be a quick go-get-an-interview-and-go-home ended up being an Afternoon Adventure.

Baby Bump: 23 weeks

Here's me and Baby Kinzie at 23 weeks!!
(keep in mind that the prego pants I'm wearing are too baggy in the butt, so although in some of the pics my bottom looks like it's huge and bulging out...it's just the pants).

SOFTBALL!!

Richard has been playing lots of softball lately. During the last half of the summer, he was playing church ball with our stake. The following pics are from then.

Then he joined a City League coed team for Fall. The following pics are from one of his last games. Sorry about the blurriness....I was struggling with the camera that night:(

This hit got him an in-field HOME RUN.

Super Fast:)

Nice Catch!!

His team wasn't the best ever, but he had a lot of fun! He was one of their STAR players and I enjoyed watching him! For his City League team, he chose to be #7. When I asked him why, he said, "Because that's your birthday!" So thoughtful!

Ultrasound Results!!

On Tuesday, September 14th, we learned we are having a
G-I-R-L!!!!

Here are a few of the pics!
The 4 white lines to the right of the word girl is what confirmed that she is a GIRL! to the left of the word girl is one knee, and her other knee is above that one.
I absolutely love this picture of her cute little feet!!

This is a sideways shot of her face--you can see her eye sockets and skull...so cool!

And there's our baby girl:)

When we first started the ultrasound, the baby was napping and not moving. But after being poked and prodded, it began to move, but the tech was still having a difficult time...we thought we'd have to try again on another day. When she listened to the heart beat, it was 152 and the tech said "according to a wives tale, that would be a girl, but that's just a tale". Then a bit later she said, "There's the area we need to look at, but the hands are down and covering it". I said, "oohhh, we have a MODEST child"! Again the tech said it was acting like a girl. Then just when Richard and I were about to give up, she said "are you sure you want to know?" In unison we said, "YES"! Then on the screen she typed in the letters G I R L! We both stared at the screen for a moment, then Richard turned to her and said, "Really?" and I said, "like 100% sure?" We almost didn't believe our eyes...it seemed too good to be true!
She weighs 8 oz. and is 8 in. long!

We are super excited and feel very blessed!!
