Family Pics!

We were in dire need of updating our family pictures--the large one we have on our wall was last taken when Kinzie was almost 1 year old and Cayden wasn't even born yet...it's very outdated!
These were taken the first week in June by a family friend, Sarah McOmber! She claims she's not a "professional" and just takes pictures "for the fun of it", but I think they turned out great!! Especially dealing with a family who's not very photogenic and kiddos who are not very cooperative when it comes to picture taking:)
And the good news is...now we have an updated family photo to hang on our wall! There really are 4 of us:)

If you can't tell, she's playing with a stick.

And here are just a few fun outtakes!
"ugh, really cayden?!?!"
He loves his sister!
And she loves him too!
The idea was for Cayden to lay next to Kinzie, but that didn't happen. Instead he started climbing all over us! We got some pretty fun ones of it!
The hardest part had to be trying to get the kids to both keep their hands down, looking at the camera, and smiling all at the same time;) What a struggle! hehe

Branding 2014

We branded cows this year the first weekend of May. I didn't get any pictures of the actual branding or the cows...but I got some cute ones of Kinzie with the whip! hehe

Kinzie, Kaelee, and Tyce walking down the driveway!
I took Cayden outside while branding for awhile, and he loved it! I thought he would be scared of the cows, but rather he just kept pointing at them and babbling! Kinzie liked it too for awhile, but she got bored quickly. After branding we were sorting cows, and she came into the pen with me, took the whip from me, and would whip it at the cows (from a distance of course) as they ran by into the other pen. She thought she was pretty tough and a great helper! ;)
Pretty sure she would live on Grandpa's farm if I would let her! She loves it out there! Just last night as she was saying her prayers, she prayed, "help us that we can go to grandpa's every day!" It made me smile!

Provo Trip!

That last week in April, the kids and I and my mom headed to Provo to visit my old stomping grounds and visit with my roomies, Ashley and Kleresa! These trips are always so fun and always bring back so many memories!! The 2nd night there my roommates younger sister watched all the kiddos and we went to a nice restaurant for dinner! It was so nice to be able to eat and visit without kids spilling water, screaming, climbing all over us, etc! It's always nice to catch up on old times!!
Kinzie was so excited to swim at the hotel:)
I of course had to visit the BYU campus for old times sake and show the kids all my favorite spots!! I absolutely love the feeling I feel when I'm on that campus! Every time I step foot on that campus I am flooded with memories--good and bad.

This was always one of my favorite spots! So calm and peaceful and a bit secluded from the rest of the hustle and bustle of the campus. When Richard and I were dating, we would go on Sunday Walks on campus and always made sure to stop here--it's beautiful!

Kinzie liked it too!
We stayed in Provo for 2 nights then stayed in Logan for 1 night. We got to have dinner and swim with my brother and Kaelee!

A Hippity Hoppity Holiday!!

My mom loves holidays and always made them so fun and special for us! I hope I can do the same for my children!
Easter this year was on April 20th! I love putting up the decorations, because the kids act like it's Christmas as they pull one item after another out of the box! I love their excitement and enthusiasm! Cayden loved playing with the plastic eggs--he was constantly throwing them like basketballs, playing with them, filling up baskets with them, and dumping them out of baskets! They were quite entertaining for him!

DYEING EASTER EGGS
We went to grandma Sheri's to dye our eggs--so fun and messy:)
Kinzie thought these wrap-arounds were so magical!
I love this idea of using a wire whisk--makes it so much easier for little kiddos!
guess she thought it reminded her of a bubble wand?!?!?
This kid cracks me up! He loves to throw everything as if it's a ball....including hard boiled easter eggs! I was trying to get a picture of him holding a colored egg but he'd throw it as soon as I handed it to him...and then he'd giggle and smile so big! He was so proud of himself! hehe (I know it's blurry, but see the green blob? that's his green egg...)
Cayden surprised me this year. I thought he'd be too young for this and uninterested, but he thoroughly enjoyed coloring on the eggs with crayons and dumping them into dye!
His favorite was pumping that whisk/egg up and down in the dye...consequently splashing dye everywhere! At least he had fun doing it....
Kinzie's favorite egg that she dyed!
 THE EGG HUNT
Kinzie sneaking some candy!
Ready or not, here he comes....
My cousin (Clara) who is Kinzie's age--they are good buddies and we wish they lived closer!
The day before Easter we had our annual Stewart Family Easter Dinner and Egg Hunt at my mom's house! Kinz was quite the pro at finding eggs this year:)

Quite the loot...I think they each got to find 22 eggs and 1 bottle of bubbles!
I told you he loves eggs....
Emptied out her eggs--she was in candy heaven!
EASTER MORNING

This year the Easter Bunny hid Kinzie's basket...it didn't taker her too long to find it hidden under our bar behind her chair ;)
Cute Story: Before Easter, when we'd see or talk about Frozen, I would say, "I hope the Easter Bunny brings me that fun movie!"  Well, on Easter morning, Kinzie pulled it out of her basket and excitedly exclaimed, "Mommy, look, the E.B. gave me this movie that you wanted so I can give it to you!" Such a sweetheart! I told her "Thanks, but I think we should share it!" She was satisfied with that:)

Cayden got some letter blocks, a light up ball, pj's, juice, little puffs, and crackers! His favorite were the little pouches of crackers/cookies--he would reach around everything else in his basket to find those and pull them out! It was really all he cared about.
SUNDAY BEST
Kinzie's Easter Dress!
Cayden's Easter Suit!

We had a great Easter program at church and just kinda took it easy the rest of the day! The kids had fun with their new goodies from their baskets!
